Kisalaya manufactures at Pithampur, near Indore, with a large part of Central India’s forests in the vicinity.
Sourcing
Raw herbs are procured locally, and local experts select the material before it enters the plant. The distance from forest to factory is short, which is why herbs can be procured quickly and economically.
Some materials carry trade restrictions. Commiphora mukul (guggul), Picrorhiza kurroa (kutki), Nardostachys jatamansi, Orchis mascula and Pterocarpus santalinus are listed under CITES Appendix II, and each product page says so. We ask buyers to raise the destination market at quotation, so that documentation is settled before an order is placed.
Environmental management
The Pithampur unit holds ISO 14001:2015 certification for environmental management, certificate KIS/EMS/B24/1652, issued by SAARA Management System to the manufacturing address at Plot No. 548, Sector 3, Industrial Area, Pithampur. It sits alongside ISO 9001:2015 for quality management and ISO 22000:2018 for food safety management. Current certificates are supplied on request.
Plant and process
Process equipment is SS 316 stainless steel throughout, arranged to minimise bacterial and fungal contamination. Production runs in three shifts over 24 hours, with capacity for 300 MT of herbs a month. Raw material is tested on intake at Pithampur, and the finished extract is tested again in Indore before it ships.
